The history in numbers
Takeover of INDAG Gesellschaft für Industriebedarf mbH, founded in Hamburg in 1952, by the company Rudolf WILD GmbH & Co. KG. In the beginning, WILD-INDAG operates as a purchasing company to guarantee WILD customers support for the smooth bottling of beverages.
Semi-automatic mixing unit
The first semi-automatic mixing unit is developed and is available to customers of WILD-INDAG.
Introduction of the current beaded glass bottle by the Genossenschaft Deutscher Brunnen (Association of German Wells). The challenge for the mineral water producers: When the glass bottles are returned with screw top, it is not possible to remove these. For them, INDAG develops a decapper which automatically removes the caps.
Moving company headquarters
The company headquarters move from Hamburg to Eppelheim, to the site of the Rudolf Wild factories.
The first automatic, syrup mixing unit with recipe management and dosage accuracy is completed. INDAG successfully enters the process technology market.
Capri-Sun® filling machine
INDAG delivers the first complete Capri-Sun® production unit.
Heidelberg Mixer with PLC
Further development of the Heidelberg Mixer: Regulation using Programmable Logic Controller.
Dosing and mixing unit
Development of the dosing and mixing unit (Type “ARA”): Serving the specific requirements of continuous mixing of highly viscous or chunky mediums (e.g. yoghurt, cheese spread).
As product innovations allow for higher fruit contents in products, pressurized flash pasteurization systems for carbonized beverages become necessary.
Heidelberg Inline Mixer
Development of the first Heidelberg Inline Mixer and unit at a large Swedish brewery. Characteristic of inline mixing is its compact design as well as proportional dosing of individual beverage ingredients of still and carbonated beverages.

The dosing and mixing unit (Type “ARA”) is developed to enable constant mixing of highly viscous or chunky mediums (e.g. yoghurt, cheese spread)

High Power Heating Systems (IPS)®
INDAG patents the first High Power Heating System (IPS)®, an innovative technology for fast and efficient heating of chunky and highly viscous products.
INDAG introduces a global novelty to the beverage industry: The 3-in-1-Hybrid-Mixer, which unites the three processes of de-aeration, mixing and carbonating in one process. In addition, INDAG further develops the High Power Heating System (IPS), now capable of continuous-volume production.
Pouch in space
The packaging specialists of INDAG successfully further develop beverage packaging to meet the demands of space travel. The first delivery of 80 “space pouches”, carried on board the 20th mission to the International Space Station (ISS) between May and November 2009.
The pouch success story
Approximately 7,107 billion pouches are produced and filled yearly with INDAG machines. This makes INDAG the world leader in pouch production and filling.

More than 600 INDAG units and more than 200 stand-up pouch filling machines in operation.
50 years of INDAG
More than 200 filling machines in 30 countries and up to 650 units in 60 countries are in use today, including six new filling machines for pet food.
Considering the system costs, the overall concept of beverage + packaging with Capri-Sun is worldwide considered as the most efficient one. The group’s aluminium compound foil stand-up pouches amount to just 6% of total weight on trucks, the rest is product. In 2013, WILD-INDAG doubles its revenue compared to previous years, to a total of 70 million Euros, generated by 94 employees.
